Wright College student, Jaron Neely, plays for the Rams basketball team. He has been playing basketball since childhood and has many aspirations and hopes to be successful as an athlete and as a business man. While being a prominent member of the Rams, Neely also remembers
he is first a student.


Wright Times: What position do you play on the basketball team?
Jaron Neely: I play shooting guard

WT: How did you get involved with basketball?
N: I have been playing since the fifth grade and it sort of stuck with me.

WT: How do you get psyched up before the game?
N: I don't need to be psyched up. I'm a beast! I'm always ready for a game.

WT: Who is your hero?
N: My mom.

WT: Why is your mom your hero?
N: She is my hero because she raised me; she is both my mom and my dad. I love and respect her.

WT: What is your major at Wright?
N: I'm majoring in business.

WT: What are your expectations
for this semester?
N: I want to get good grades and go on to win the championship.

WT: Where are you headed
after Wright?
N: I will probably go out to California.

WT: Why California?
N: To play basketball.

WT: What is one of your future goals in life?
N: Well, I have many; one of them is to go overseas and play ball.

WT: What advice do you have for future athletes at Wright?
N: Be a student athlete, not just an athlete. School comes first.
